Rick Kraft has been a resident of Roswell for over 34 years and has been a very           active member of the Roswell Community. 

​

The Historical Society of Southeastern New Mexico honored him at its annual           banquet in 2012.

​

He has been recognized by the Roswell Realtor’s Association as it’s Citizen of the       Year Award in 2013.

​

 He received the Outstanding Leader Award from the Leadership Roswell Alumni       Association in 2014 at its annual banquet. 

​

He received the Kraft Spirit Award from Leadership Roswell Alumni Association in 2019 at its annual banquet. 

​

Rick Kraft has written a syndicated column that appears weekly in newspapers           from coast to coast.  He has written the “Just A Thought” column since 2000 and has written four books.

​

Rick has been very active in the community and statewide.  He has served on the following non-profit boards in Roswell: Roswell Chamber of Commerce, Roswell Crimestoppers, Leadership Roswell Alumni Association, Roswell YMCA, and Roswell Sertoma Club.  He has been an honorary member of the Roswell Legal Support Staff Association (the only attorney in Roswell that had this opportunity). 

 

He has been active with the Leadership Roswell Program since 1990.  He participated as a student and was elected President by his class of 25 students in 1991.  He became the Executive Director of the program in 1992 and has served the program as a volunteer ED ever since, giving the community well over two weeks of his time every year in an effort to train current and future leaders in Roswell and southeastern New Mexico.
